Darrell and Cynthia Idalie Ax met in Kentucky at a construction/design class, it was definitely love at first sight.  After getting married they decided to join her talents as a professional interior designer and his reputable construction company and they opened Vanguard Homes + Interiors.

Whether is to remodel an office, your favorite room in the house or build your new home, Vanguard Homes + Interiors is ready to create an atmosphere that embraces you, fulfills your heart and needs!  Darrell and Cynthia feel very fortunate to be able to be part of helping clients build their dreams and turning them into realities.

    Born in El Paso Texas with a rich Mexican heritage, Cynthia Idalie Ax has over 10 years of experience in the home building and interior design industry.  She graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with a degree in Media Advertising and French.  She also acquired an associate of applied science degree in interior design with honors. She has been a member for over 10 years of the Advisory Committee for the Interior Design Program in EPCC.

    Finding natural and historic beauty in travels over Europe and Mexico, her love for art and color led to this wonderful career, “San Miguel de Allende was my last stop before discovering my passion for this creative, fun and adventurous field.”

    Darrell Ax was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. A multi-cultural city with old-world charm, beautiful architectural scenery, exquisite cuisine and jazz music. With over 30 years of experience in the field of construction, Darrell has traveled throughout the nation constructing commercial and residential projects. He strives for outstanding craftsmanship, is innovative and is always excited about exploring the most modern construction techniques and materials. Darrell is passionate about his work and his clients, has an excellent eye for detail, and takes great pride in his work.

 

Darrell , Cynthia, and the crew of Vanguard did a great job on my kitchen remodel. My home is over 40 years old and the kitchen needed a complete gut.
